We use the data we collect for the following purposes:
- Service Delivery: To create and manage your account, including email verification and garage provisioning for new sign-ups.
- Reporting: To generate, sync, and store digital vehicle health check reports on your behalf.

- Maintaining your own backups of critical business records, in addition to the automated syncing provided.
5. GDPR Compliance & Data Controller Roles
Vehicle HealthCheck acts as a Data Processor for the vehicle and customer information uploaded to the platform. Under EU/UK GDPR:
- The garage owner (you) is the Data Controller for your customers' personal data and are responsible for ensuring you have a lawful basis for processing and sharing it.
- Vehicle HealthCheck acts as a Data Controller for subscriber (garage) data used for billing and account management purposes.
- We process all data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
6. Data Storage & Security
- Automatic Syncing: All data is saved and synced automatically to a secure digital database.
- Retention: Vehicle history records are stored to allow for long-term service tracking. You may request deletion of your data at any time.
- Security Measures: We use industry-standard encryption and security practices to protect your uploaded images and sensitive inspection data from unauthorised access.
- Third-Party Processors: We may use trusted third-party service providers (such as payment processors) who are contractually obligated to protect your data.
7. Your Rights (UK GDPR)
Under UK and European data protection law, you have the following rights:
- Right of Access: To request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to Rectification: To request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Right to Erasure: To request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal obligations.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us via the form on our contact page.
8. Billing & Cancellations
Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or yearly basis. A 14-day cooling-off period may apply under EU/UK consumer law; however, as this is a B2B digital service, this right typically expires once the service has been fully provisioned and accessed. Pricing adjustments will be communicated with at least 30 days' notice.
9. Cookies and analytics
Our website may use essential cookies required for the site to function. Separately, we may use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) on health-check.uk only if you choose to accept analytics. Analytics helps us understand how visitors use the marketing site (for example which pages are viewed and which calls to action are used) so we can improve the experience.
If you accept analytics, GA4 may set analytics cookies. If you reject analytics, we do not load GA4 or set those analytics cookies. We do not use this implementation for advertising or remarketing. You can change your mind later by using Analytics preferences in the site footer, which updates the stored analytics preference for health-check.uk (and app.health-check.uk when the same preference cookie is present).
Essential cookies and your analytics preference storage are separate from advertising cookies. We do not use advertising cookies on this marketing site.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Where changes are significant, we will notify you by email or via a notice on the platform. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
